A furry is someone who has an interest in anthropomorphic animals. Think Zootopia, Looney Toons, or other animals with human traits. A furry may create a charater that represents them, called a "fursona." Not every furry has a "fursuit," or costume of this character, but many do. Montana has a rich furry history and we can't wait to see how the community grows!

No. While there is a "not safe for work" (NSFW) aspect to the furry community as a whole, Gallatin Furs is not a host of these events, chats, or media. Any event hosted by Gallatin Furs will be safe for all ages. Please read our NSFW rules for more information

These are two social platforms we use to communicate with our members. Think two big group chats. Both are open to the same group of members, but some are more active on Telegram compared to Discord. You can join both, one, or neither!

Only members are invited to join the private channels such as the Telegram chat and the Discord Server. 

Yes! Please keep an eye on our public announcement channel and join us for events that are of interest to you. Please make sure to read all the details of the event to be cognizant of suit, age, or membership restrictions.

Please DM the Admin team through the Announcements channel of the Telegram. Please include all relevant information, including a poster if possible. Once approved, admin will be forwarding the message exactly as sent, so please ensure everything is written corectly when you send it. We Recommend following this template:

You are welcome to post pictures in the photos and media channel when all faces are covered. If there are faces showing, please get consent of everyone before posting in the chat. We recommend asking when you are taking the photo. Photos posted in these channels are not allowed to be posted outside of the group without everyones consent.

Our admins prefer the DM feature through the Telegram Announcement channel. Please look at the Contact page for direct links and more information.

If you are a member, you got a couple of options! Feel free to contact admins to suggest a change and they can bring it up to the community for a vote. If it is emergency, call for an emergency vote in the chat. 

If you are not a member, please contact admin.

If you have not been contacted and told that you are banned from the group, then you have not been banned. We recommend reaching out to the admin if you are unsure.
